We love it and likely as much despise it. How often do we not use acronyms and big words because that reflects we are in the know and have the upper hand and creates a sense of self-importance.

Our excuse is convenience and simplicity. Some professions love it, in fact, most do. Do we ask why? Is our goal to be confusing, misunderstood and opaque?

And that works for those part of the inner circle, while those who do not deem it as unnecessary, exaggerated, and unclear. 

If we can talk simply, others may understand us. Is that not the objective?
